Union Street Café   47-51 Union Street, London

Following on from our contribution to Bread Street Kitchen, we experimented on making glass features for lighting in this Gordon Ramsey urban trattoria. It is set over two floors in part of a former Southwark warehouse situated on the corner of Union and Great Suffolk Street.

We made what appear to be skinny rubber trimmed antiqued wing mirrors following the brief from Russell Sage Studios. Some of these we pre-drilled to allow for mounted light fittings, which were hung from the unpolished concrete pillars amid the exposed ducting. We also produced a set of six rough-cast wired glass lighting panels, leading down the stairwell to the destination Union Street Bar.
