The Ivy
Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Dubai

From our studio to Dubai – we made and exported what seemed at the time a daunting commission for the Ivy Restaurant, Bar and Jazz Lounge – its success now embraced within the opening salvo of their website which reads as follows: Enjoy a little taste of London in the heart of Dubai’s business district at the luxurious and iconic The Ivy at Jumeirah Emirates Towers.

After creating over 300 leaded glass panels for The Club at The Ivy, London we were commissioned by the designer, Martin Brudnizki to re-create the look of the ‘harlequin style’ stained glass panels for export to Dubai in spring 2011. In addition, we made a series of silver leaf mirrors to feature in the private dining room, behind the bar and as a decorative element in seating areas. Thousands of bevelled glass diamond and triangle shapes were gilded by hand before being assembled onto backboards like a giant jigsaw, which were then carefully packed and crated. Complementing these elegant features were a series of banquette privacy screens created with clear textured glass set into antiqued brass patinated frames.

In 2015 we participated in the complete refurbishment and re-invigoration of The Ivy, in London, by producing an extensive and rich mix of handmade feature mirrors for the new interior: verre eglomisé, silver leaf and golden bronze antiqued.
